Nancy had demonstrated success supporting a variety of sectors spanning municipalities, economic and community development, workforce development, real-estate development, professional planners, engineers, builders, academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and industry sectors such as construction, manufacturing, energy, insurance, oil and gas, and petrochemical.
Nancy started her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, then completed a technical diploma diving deeper into the practical components. She then worked in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors leading major projects and teams. She continued to broaden her project expertise in the consulting, engineering, and insurance industries before completing the University of Waterloo Economic Development certificate program, and then her Masters of Science in 2020 which had a research focus on housing affordability in non-metro areas. Her clientele value the broad perspectives she is able to offer.
Ms. Orr is driven by a need for continual learning, positive action, and contributing to building strong communities. She has participated on many boards and committees, and is an active volunteer.
